Is contracting for you?

Contracting is a flexible form of employment for both clients and candidates.

Any organisation small and large, public or private who needs a temporary ICT resource hires contractors. Contractors are normally specialist ICT staff that are engaged:

  • To work on a specific project, for a specific period of time to perform a specific task at a specific cost.
  • To provide specialist ICT skills not required in a business on a permanent basis;
  • To mentor, train and transfer knowledge to permanent staff when a new system or program is introduced;
  • Contractors can provide organisations with a much more flexible workforce, to cater for busy periods and down times without redundancies. Contracts can also be completed or extended to meet the ongoing need.

Candidates who seek contracting work often enjoy the flexibility and change that contracting allows them.
